Cookie Policy

The short version
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't run analytics scripts. The only thing stored in your browser is what's strictly needed to make the ordering flow work.
1. What we actually store
Two things are saved in your browser's local storage — a similar technology to cookies, covered by the same UK PECR rules:
- Your basket (
aunties-kitchen-cart) — keeps the items you've added so they're still there if you close the tab and come back. Strictly necessary for the site to function; no consent is needed for this one. - Your cookie banner choice (
cookie-consent-accepted) — remembers whether you've dismissed the cookie banner, so we don't show it to you again every visit.
2. The one real cookie we set
If you're a member of our kitchen staff and log in to the admin area, we set a single secure, strictly-necessary cookie (ak_admin_session) to keep you signed in. It's not set for customers browsing or ordering, only for staff who log in to manage the menu.
3. Third parties
This site is hosted on Vercel, which may set its own strictly-necessary technical cookies to route and secure traffic (for example, load-balancing). We don't control these directly and they don't carry advertising or tracking data. If we add analytics or payment provider cookies in the future, this page and our cookie banner will be updated before they go live, and consent will be asked for anything not strictly necessary.
4. Managing or clearing this data
You can clear local storage and cookies for this site at any time from your browser's settings. Doing so will empty your basket and bring the cookie banner back on your next visit.
